echoing the original panelling while tables hang on walls
use of local natural resources taken from the River Thames
ceramicist Natalia Kasprzycka developed a unique glaze
collaborating with us + local residents to make tiles
that were installed into our heritage space
and now used to make products like the Hemmings Tray
brief development for window blind design + production
led to a project by artist Sara Kelly that incorporated table loom production using reclaimed timber
and the work of many hands contributing to a linen woven blind + the creation of community connections
the blind design echoes the architecture of the heritage site
and now the community continues to weave, and to teach others, producing things like our woven plant pots
a collaboratively made arts & crafts garden for Erith
inspired by heritage stories and architecture
including a greenhouse modelled on the UK's first custom-made travelling library van
and community-made bricks recalling the local brick making industry
project management of a major collaborative effort, involving garden design, innovative fabrication + community participation
our Timber Workshop was commissioned to create Andre's timber furniture
taking the artist's drawings and turning these into faithful 3D representations
these were then returned to Andre & the IntoArt team for painting
and upholstering, incorporating more of Andre's pattern and palette
before exhibition at the international art fair, Collect.
a project to celebrate use of rare hoarded timber, in memory of a local timber merchant
commissioning of Atelier Thirty Four to lead on design of a stacking tray
the tray was prototyped at a free community festival before moving onto community production
incorporating a new addition - a tile base, glazed with "Erith Gold"
the tray is now available to buy, sustaining ongoing craft learning
