Screen print featuring a detail of Erith’s Grade II listed Old Library. This Edwardian building first opened as 1906 as a space for learning. It was commissioned, designed and built by local people, showcasing local trades and materials through, for example, the use of locally made bricks and early example Crittall windows, and stood as a library for over 100 years before closing. It is now the home of The Exchange.

This print is part of a series produced by Graham Nutley, a member of The Arthouse in Wakefield (another old Carnegie Library turned creative space), and the father of Exchange Co-Director Peter. These prints were produced in Yorkshire to raise money for Erith’s Old Library.
